About me
I have worked in the National Health Service (NHS) for over thirty years as a health professional, I have been trained in both mental and physical health and wellbeing. I have experience of working with clients with a wide range of problems such as trauma, attachment issues, addiction, anger, relationships difficulties, childhood neglect, abuse, mental health, work related stress, domestic abuse, grief, and bereavement, and many other issues.
As a counsellor I work with both young people and adults.
Having lived and worked abroad for over three years, this experience has given me a wider view on certain cultural understandings and my work has a focus on respect, equality, and diversity. I have additional qualifications in English as a second language (ESOL) to assist with international clients.
I have been described as a compassionate counsellor with a willingness to actively listen to my clients and work at a relationship depth to make a deeper connection with my clients, in our therapeutic relationship.
Counselling in person takes place in a confidential manner in comfortable room, in central Leamington Spa near Victoria Park. Counselling online or phone is through a range of technology, allowing a quiet and confidential space. I am fully qualified and insured.
I ensure my counselling is affordable by offering a limited number of sessions at a reduced rate for clients who are unwaged or on low incomes.
